Kim Woodburn has died at the age of 83 after a "short illness", her family has confirmed. The How Clean is Your House and Celebrity Big Brother star had cancelled work commitments in recent months due to health concerns.
A representative for Kim said in a statement: "It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved Kim Woodburn passed away yesterday following a short illness. Kim was an incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person.
"Her husband Peter is heartbroken at the loss of his soulmate. We are so proud of the amazing things Kim achieved in her life and career.
"We kindly ask that Kim's husband and close friends are given the time and privacy they need to grieve. We will not be releasing any further details."
In the very last message posted on her Instagram page at the beginning of March, the star told fans that she was unable to record any further videos "for the foreseeable future due to a health problem". Kim added: "No more videos for now, my loves, I need to get better!"
Kim first shot to stardom for her no-nonsense attitude on Channel 4's How Clean Is Your House alongside Aggie MacKenzie. She also made regular appearances on ITV's Loose Women and This Morning.
In 2009, she found fresh fame as a contestant in the ninth series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, where she finished as a runner-up to Gino D'Acampo. Then in 2017, she entered the Celebrity Big Brother house and came in third place behind The X Factor twins Jedward and Coleen Nolan.
Tributes to Kim have flooded social media following the news of her death, with many fans praising her impact on pop culture thanks to her iconic one-liners. One person wrote on X: "Can't believe Kim Woodburn has died, an absolute icon of reality TV who I quote daily and will continue to do so. RIP to a legend."
Another fan said: "Beyond devastated to hear the news today that TV legend and icon Kim Woodburn has sadly passed away. There will never be anyone like Kim. RIP."
And someone else paid tribute to the star: "I'm absolutely gutted that Kim Woodburn has died! There is no other public figure that had such an impact on my lexicon as that woman did. She was a total one-off. I'll raise a glass to her tonight."
